The Duke-UNC Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) Training Program offers a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum designed for medical, behavioral, and public health professionals. The program combines the latest research on pharmacotherapy and tobacco dependence counseling with practical guidance on running a practice. Participants engage in interactive virtual sessions and self-paced online modules, earning up to 30 continuing education hours. Accredited by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs, the training covers all core competencies required for national certification. The program aims to equip professionals with the skills needed to provide effective tobacco treatment and support for individuals seeking to quit tobacco use and live healthier lives.

CE CREDIT
In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
The designation was based upon the quality of the educational activity and its compliance with the standards and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Duke-UNC TTS is also an approved CE provider by the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs having met an established set of training standards directly related to professional development for tobacco treatment specialists. CE hours earned from all Duke-UNC TTS CE Short Courses are approved for renewal hours for the National Certificate of Nicotine and Tobacco Treatment certification.
