Welcome to the Duke-UNC Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training Program!

Next Steps

Step 1: Read the Participant Orientation Guide. This document contains detailed information about the TTS course, including Zoom links, a detailed schedule, and course portal access information.

Step 2: Register for your Duke guest account. You will receive an email from help@duke.edu inviting you to set up a Duke Guest Account, which will allow you to access the TTS course portal when it opens on October 11. Please set up your guest account and keep the login (NetID) and password somewhere secure. We cannot add you to the TTS course portal until you set up this account, so please do this as soon as you receive the email invitation.
Step 3: Verify your street address to receive your training manual. We will be sending all participants a TTS training manual by Fedex to the address you used to register. If you would like your manual sent to a different street address, please email that address to cttsprogram@duke.edu before October 15.

Step 4: Starting October 11, you can access the TTS course portal to complete prerequisite coursework (approx. 4 hours) BEFORE the first virtual session. There is additional mid-course work (approx. 4 hours) between the two weeks of the course, so please plan accordingly to ensure that you have time to complete this important foundational work. Pre- and mid-course work is required to receive the total 28.75 CME hours for the course.

Please refer to the Participant Orientation Guide for more details about how to complete all of the above steps. We look forward to seeing you on October 25!
